The viral image is from an incident when Bimal Bagh and his son were attacked allegedly by local BJP workers over a land dispute in Kharagpur's Keshiyari village. Police have registered a case in the matter. The reason for the dispute is not verified yet.
On July 8, three juveniles stabbed a 25-year-old man 28 times in public view in the chest and neck, after he repeatedly objected to the trio speeding on motorcycles and performing stunts in the west Delhi’s Raghubir Nagar. A video of the murder that was caught on tape was also widely circulated.
Following this, a message is going viral on social media platforms with a communal claim that the accused juveniles belong to the Muslim community.
A Facebook user named Jyoti Sharan Roy shared the video of the incident with a caption in Hindi that can be roughly translated to, "In Delhi's Madipur area, three juvenile Jihadists stabbed a young man to death for a trivial reason. We are fighting because of caste difference and here these 'peaceful' are getting good training."
The video received over 7000 reshares.
A Twitter user shared the video with the same caption. This tweet was retweeted over 300 times.

After the viral claim, The Quint reached out to Delhi Police Additional PRO Anil Mittal stated that the incident is being given a false communal spin and that the accused and the victim belong to the same community. Mittal confirmed that the accused juveniles are “not Muslims”.
BOOM also accessed the FIR copy registered at Khyala police station which confirmed that the minor accused are not Muslims.
According to the FIR copy seen by BOOM, the victim Manish Kumar, a driver, was standing outside a general store in Raghubir Nagar, when one of the accused started arguing with him. The FIR details the events from July 8, the day of the incident as, "My brother, Manish (the victim) was standing outside a general store near home when the accused started fighting with him. The accused was accompanied by two of his friends and when I rushed to my brother's help, they threatened me with a knife. One of the accused then held my brother while the other two stabbed him repeatedly and fled the scene" states the FIR.
The accused are minors aged 17 and residents of the same area. However, the names of the minors have not been disclosed the names of the minors who have been apprehended, in accordance with the Juvenile Justice Act.
In conclusion, the claim that Minor accused who stabbed man stabbed in Delhi's Raghubir Nagar are Muslims is false.
